Chicken Sausage Rolls

  • Chicken mince
  • 1kg
  • Brown onion, finely diced
  • 1
  • Large carrot, grated
  • 1
  • Garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2
  • Chopped parsley
  • 1 tsp.
  • Chopped thyme
  • ½ tsp.
  • Egg, whisked well for egg wash
  • 1
  • Salt and pepper
  • To taste
  • Sesame seeds or poppy seeds
  • To taste (optional)


  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C
  2. Place the chicken mince, onion, carrot, garlic, parsley, thyme and salt and pepper into a bowl and mix well.
  3. Divide the mixture into 10 portions. Using your hands press the portions into a log shape.
  4. Brush egg wash along the side of the mission wraps.
  5. Place the chicken mince portion onto the mission wrap and roll up tightly.
  6. Repeat with all the wraps.
  7. Place the sausage rolls onto a lined baking tray and brush with egg wash, leave plain or sprinkle with sesame seeds or poppy seeds.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until chicken is cooked and wraps are golden brown.

You can make your own chicken mince by placing 1kg chicken thigh fillets in a food processor and blitz until chopped into small pieces.
