Product Guide

School Food Matters encourage school food services to offer mostly GREEN foods on the menu. Many of these foods don’t have a label. Examples of GREEN foods include fruits, vegetables, unprocessed meats, plain milk, pasta, rice and bread. 

The product guide helps you to choose better AMBER foods. It is a list of products we have assessed that meet the criteria set out in the SmartFood Guide. The nutrient criteria can be used to assess any products that aren’t on the list. If you’d like help assessing the product, contact your project officer.
