School Lunch Project – ANNOUNCEMENT OF 15 NEW SCHOOLS JOINING IN 2023
School Food Matters is excited to announce an additional 15 school the School Lunch Project in 2023. Expressions of interest were received from school across Tasmania and it was a challenging task to narrow it down. Joining the current 15 school in the program, we welcome the following to begin delivering lunches to students in Term 1 next year:

School Food Service Awards – 2022 WINNERS ANNOUNCED!
Manager of the Year – KAYLA FORD – Clarendon Vale Primary School
Congratulations to Kayla for winning this years award for School Food Service Manager of the Year. Kayla works very hard to provide healthy, cooked from scratch lunches to all 130 students at Clarendon Vale Primary School. She is doing an exceptional job.
Environmentally Friendly School – BEACONSFIELD PRIMARY SCHOOL
We are excited to announce Beaconsfield Primary School as this years winner of the Environmentally Friendly School. Congratulations to Beaconsfield on their efforts to reduce, reuse, recycle and create a more environmentally friendly school environment.
Waste Education in Schools
Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania supports waste education in schools. They provide advice and guidance for teachers on waste issues.
They have educational resources on their website that are aligned with various subject areas of the Australian Curriculum.
