About Course
Food allergies occur when the immune system mistakenly identifies a food protein as harmful. In a school setting, it’s important to understand how to manage food allergies effectively to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students.
This training module will introduce you to the most common food allergens, including peanuts and tree nuts, eggs, milk, wheat, soy and shellfish, and provide practical guidance on creating a safe and inclusive food environment at your school.
We’ll share some videos that highlight the stories of a student living with an allergy, their parent and a Canteen Supervisor and their powerful message about the importance of allergy awareness in fostering a safe and inclusive school environment.
